24/7 Prayer for Greater Portland

In 1990, Time magazine reported the New York City was the murder capitol of America! Since February 1995, at least 45-120 churches throughout greater NYC area have be praying for their community for one day (24 hours) a month. Since then, NYC has experienced a 40% drop in the crime rate and today it is the safest large city in America (of over a million citizens)! More Info!

Why can't we do this throughout the greater Portland/Vancouver metro area? We are encouraging churches throughout our community to select one day a month (1st Sunday, 3rd Thursday, 5th Saturday) and open their building up for 24 hours of fasting, prayer and intercession. Surely, there are at least 31 churches in our community that will mobilize their people to pray for one day a month!

We are also working on partnering with KKPZ 1330 AM Radio to facilitate "Worship & Intercession" on the air every night of the week (from 12am to 6am) so that believers can unite in prayer throughout our community for the "Night Watch". Then from 6am-12am, KKPZ will announce which churches are praying on each day of the month, so that other believers can join them at their location.

Each day of the week will focus prayer on one of the 7 Major Spheres of Influences that shape & control society & culture:

Saturdays - Family
Sundays - Religion
Mondays - Business
Tuesdays - Government
Wednesdays - Education
Thursdays - Media
Fridays -Entertainment/Sports/Arts
