Ready.Safe.Go is an annual training day sponsored by a partnership between the City of Portland Office of Neighborhood Involvement's (ONI) Crime Prevention Program and the City of Portland Office of Emergency Management (POEM). Training workshops are offered on a variety of crime prevention and disaster preparedness topics, which appeal to both the experienced and beginning public safety volunteer.
A special feature of the day is the volunteer recognition and honoring of community public safety volunteers who collectively create a safer Portland. Awards are given to volunteers involved with Crime Prevention, Neighborhood Emergency Teams (NETs), and Medical Reserve Corps, which are all Citizen Corps programs.
